Delete your account
Last updated: October 14, 2026
You can delete your MyHome.school account yourself, in the app or on the web, on any device you use. You don't need to contact us.
How to delete your account
- Sign in at myhome.school, or open the MyHome.school app on your phone.
- Open Settings.
- At the bottom, choose Delete account, then confirm.
You'll be signed out on every device. We'll email you the date your account will be permanently deleted, and again when it has been.
The 90-day hold
- When you delete your account, your homeschool and every record and file in it leave the app straight away. We keep them for 90 days in case you change your mind.
- During those 90 days you can sign in the same way you did before. You'll be able to bring your account and records back, or just download your files. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, sign in with Apple again; a new sign-up with a different address is a separate account.
- We also keep your sign-in details (your name, email address and how you sign in) with our sign-in provider for those 90 days, so that signing back in works.
- When the 90 days are up, your account, your sign-in details, and your homeschool's records (every student, record, file and course) are permanently deleted. That step is final.
- A homeschool you share with another person stays with them. Only your access to it ends, and coming back doesn't restore it; they can invite you again.
- Shared portfolio links stop working when you delete your account. If you come back, they work again until their own expiry date. Invitations that hadn't been accepted yet are cancelled and stay cancelled; you can send them again.
Your subscription
- Deleting your account turns off renewal, so you won't be charged again. As with any cancellation, it takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for.
- If you bring your account back while that period is still running, your plan picks up where it was, including whether it was set to renew.
- If your account is permanently deleted before the paid period ends, the rest of that period ends with it. Subscription payments aren't refunded, except where the law says otherwise, as our Terms explain.
Delete everything now
If you don't want the 90-day hold, choose Delete everything now when you delete your account, or any time during the 90 days. Your account, your sign-in details, and your homeschool's records and files are permanently deleted right away, and any subscription ends immediately. This can't be undone.
Lifetime access
If you bought lifetime access, it stays yours. After your account and records are deleted, we keep one small record of the purchase: the email address it was bought under, the Stripe payment reference, the plan, and the date. If you sign up again and verify that same email address, lifetime access comes back on the homeschool you create, with nothing to buy twice. A refunded purchase doesn't count. We use that record only to recognise you if you come back, and keep it for as long as the purchase could still be honoured. If you'd rather we removed it too, tick the box when you choose Delete everything now, or email us. Removing it ends lifetime access.
